Ajmal's spell guides Pakistan to win against NZ

Pakistan 177 for 6 (Jamshed 56, Hafeez 43, Southee 2-31) beat New Zealand 164 for 9 (Nicol 33, Ajmal 4-30) by 13 runs

Pakistan's batting line-up is their weak link this tournament but its top order dominated New Zealand's bowling under sunny skies in Pallekele

It was an exciting game of cricket and was always going down the wire with the way it shaped out, in the end, Pakistan held their nerves and managed to wriggle out a win against a spirited Kiwi side.

Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez were the orchestrators for Pakistan with a strong partnership. There were decent contributions down the order and that helped them to reach 177. While chasing, the Kiwis may have just made a tactical blunder by holding back Taylor a touch too longer. While Nicol and McCullum did well at the top, Ross Taylor came late and looked to take the game away along with Franklin. Ajmal came in and then brought the game back in favour of Pakistan.

In all probabilities, Saeed Ajmal was named the Man of the Match. Switch over to the other tab to catch all the action between India-England.
